1. Scope

This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through fascinatorltd.fit and in the course of providing our services. We process personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, company name, and whatever you tell us about your situation when you contact us.
  • Order details: billing name and address, the package purchased, and the project information you supply such as target URLs and anchor text preferences.
  • Account access: where you engage us to manage marketplace or advertising accounts, credentials or delegated access you choose to grant us.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and referring site, collected through analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 7.

We do not see or store your card details.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered directly into Stripe’s systems and never reach our servers. We receive only confirmation of payment and limited details such as the last four digits and card type.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To deliver the services you ordered — necessary for performance of our contract with you.
  • To respond to enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
  • To take payment and keep accounting records — performance of contract, and compliance with legal obligations including HMRC record-keeping.
  • To improve our website and understand how it is used — consent, where analytics cookies are used.
  • To send marketing emails — consent, or our legitimate interest where you are an existing business client and we are marketing similar services. You can opt out at any time.
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our terms — our legitimate interest in protecting the business.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Hosting, email and analytics providers — to run the website and communicate with you.
  • Publishers and writers — where you have engaged us for link building, we share the project details needed to place content, such as your target URL. We do not pass on your personal contact details unless you ask us to.
  • Our accountant and professional advisers — for bookkeeping and compliance.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses to protect it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become clients: up to 12 months.
  • Client records and correspondence: for the duration of the engagement and 6 years afterwards.
  • Financial and transaction records: 6 years from the end of the relevant accounting period, as required by HMRC.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
  • Account credentials: revoked and deleted at the end of the engagement.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Ask us to delete data where there is no ongoing reason for us to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our basis.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email info@fascinatorltd.fit. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, access controls and limiting who in the team can see client data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

9. Children

Our services are sold to businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last revised.
